The 2025 game release calendar is going to tower over this year with constant major launches

GTA 6, I'll mostly be avoiding because **** Rockstar for still pulling their bullshit, the only game I'm pretty excited for is Anno Pax Romana, the anno dev team is golden and if Ubisoft hasnt forced them to rush the game, it'll be good, oh and Doom too

Exciting. 2025 looks to be the most stacked year in modern gaming, surpassing even 2018. Here's hoping that GTA 6 does not get delayed to 2026.

Civilization 7, Elden Ring Nightreign and Pirate Yakuza are some more heavy hitters. Not to mention the various ports and remasters like DKC Returns HD & Spider-Man 2.

I'm personally looking forward to Mafia: The Old Country and Doom: The Dark Ages (going to be absolutely badass). I f'in love Doom Guy.

DOOM: The Dark Ages Is Out on May 15, Gets PC Specs; $80 Price, No Multiplayer

At the Xbox Developer Direct 2025, id Software and Bethesda Softworks announced the release date of DOOM: The Dark Ages. The third installment (although technically a prequel) in the rebooted franchise will be launched on May 15 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. As usual, since it is a game published by Bethesda, which in turn is owned by Microsoft, it will appear on Game Pass from day one.

Pre-orders are open now, and the game is certainly pricier than fans might have thought. The regular edition costs $79.99, while the Premium Edition is available at a hefty $109.99. The latter version includes:
  • Base Game (digital code)
  • Up to 2-Day Early Access
  • Campaign DLC
  • Digital Artbook and Soundtrack
  • Divinity Skin Pack
Finally, the Collector's Bundle includes all the above plus the following physical goodies for $199.99 (available through the Bethesda Gear Store):

  • Exclusive metal Key Card replica
  • SteelBook Case
  • Super-detailed, 12-inch DOOM Slayer statue complete with faux fur cape plus detachable Shotgun and Flail accessories
In case you were wondering, there will be no multiplayer in the game. During a Q&A with the press, it was confirmed that id Software willingly put aside any multiplayer desires to focus on making the biggest and best single player campaign they could.

We'll also remind you that DOOM: The Dark Ages will be powered by the latest version of the id Tech engine. On PC, the game will offer path tracing and NVIDIA DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation support. The aforementioned system specs can be found below.

I was looking forward to Far Cry 7 but rumours are Ubisfot delayed it to next year because they're afraid of GTA6. Valid I guess since that game is set to be prolly the biggest release this year and it's still months away.
