Another Spider-Man Game..So Soon? :facepalm:

Activision Publishing and Marvel Entertainment have made it known that The Amazing Spider-Man is slated to release for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii in the summer of 2012.

This title will be launched in conjunction with Sony Picture Entertainment’s forthcoming feature film of the same name, and is all set to act as an epilogue story, which transpires after the events of the flick.

Also planned to launch for the 3DS and the DSi, this game will have the super-hero free-roaming and web-slinging all over New York City.

Title’s navigation and combat systems are said to have been induced with evolutionary improvements.

The game will also kick in an all-new storyline which would involve Spider-Man shielding the city of Manhattan from the threat of various bad guys.

^^ Another movie game? You know seeing these i always remember Harry Potter games from 1 to 3. It was good to play those first 3 games. After that it got worse worse and some more worse!!

Thats the same happening with all the movie adaptations complied into games and also the movies from which the games are made.

Imo, this is utter stupidity.
What if the game fails..? Which is more often than not the case with such games. The dip will effect the hype/curiosity.
Secondly, releasing the game with about a week left makes no sense. They rather should release a well made game in the off season when no movie is planned. Will keep the fans interested and engaged.

And somebody pls edit the title. Very confusing without anything like [Game] included.

the name bears absolute similarity with the name of the movie and hence i think a little indicator will be good.
Other names had something or the other in them to be not making a case for confusion. If you can make any changes, good enuf.. else nvm.
 
Spiderman & Transformers game are all shit don't know why they invest money it should rather go to some indie developer make games like Flower , Journey

When a thread is within the respective section, it is understood that it relates to the game and not the movie or a comic.

I can understand if it was within the GT section but that isn't the case here. No further title modifications are required.

Did you even play the Transformers game!? Its not great, but definitely far from shit :\ The sequel looks really interesting as well.
As for the spiderman game, this one definitely looks improved, at least the navigation is.

What are you talking about? Transformers war for cybertron game was fun.

This Spiderman game is supposedly better than the earlier ones.

Agreed! Dark of the Moon however was a bit of hit and miss. Terrible visuals and a short campaign specifically.

I really hope this Spidey title lives up to all the hype that the E3 and the upcoming movie trailers have created.

Are you talking about Revenge of the Fallen? LOL.
Like I said, War for Cybertron was a pretty good game, there are some downsides, but its not 'shit'. If you still think so, I feel sorry for you. May be you should stop judging games on the first 15 minutes of hands on :)
As for spiderman, the previous movie tie ins are pretty crap, Shattered Dimensions did well, and now Amazing Spiderman looks what a spiderman game should have been like.
