Actually I don't have a problem with this in particular - what is kinda annoying is that they have bigger issues to fix and yet they pick on a fookin city name. The first thing someone notices when they arrive in Bangalore is that traffic plain sucks - 99% of the people have no traffic sense, and that includes the cops btw. Second is every other road is one-way, and roads where you can drive 2 ways is called a fookin double-road :rofl:

This is just a glimpse of what we go through everyday, if I open the can of worms (which I intend doing on a large scale, but not here) there'd be more than a name to debate about. Basically, the name change doesn't impact me more than the silly issues in and around Bangalore, which is why I don't give a $hit.

chennai mumbai sounded cool....u kn sounded like shanghai....lol but benguluru sucks...ROFL

offtopic but people complaining about road rage in Bangalore must take a look the traffic in hyderabad . the ultimate test of reflexes :rofl:
 
I've lived in Hyderabad during 2000-01 and never found traffic to be an issue - it was a pleasure driving there and I found peoples' traffic sense even better than Chennai. Bangalore was not great when I moved here in 2002 but it's just worsened over the years, it's reached unbelievable levels now...

Its 2006 now...n in any case traffic here sucked since ever....but its got more hectic these days......

lived in bangalore for abt 6 months and I can def tell you that now hyd traffic is worse...Atleast in Blore people respect signals and follow most traffic rules....
