Got a Mail from IT Depot today & thought of sharing it with all of you, but it's good for Audiophiles..

metrofi.jpg

i think the price is good comparing to this thread - http://www.techenclave.com/closed-deals/lynx-india-ultimate-ears-iem-earphones-155286.html

Although there may be no comparison (pardon this noob) how are they compared to head direct / hifiman and soundmagic ones?

@Konquerror - i got a mail from them, as shown in the pic. if i click buy now it directly takes me to the payment page & amount is the same as in pic.

i'll suggest you to register on their site & may be you'll get a mail from them..

@raksrules - i'm not an Audiophile so can't tell you much about that..

i think you need some help from FaH33m :ohyeah:

I have already ordered it. (MetroFi100) Since I had about Rs.650/- there as reward points in lieu of previous purchases and also for returning a wrongly sent product, had to pay only Rs.400/-. Now let me see when it arrives!

hey.. please do post your experience, as even i was plannin to buy that, also if possible can u compare it with other earphones? it would be a good benchmark and we can be sure if its worth the money.

Can you please post the url of that page?

Without having any idea about how they sound, I think it would be a safe bet to say that re2/ne6 at around .5k more would be much better deals than getting these :D. I guess the main question would be how they compare to the pl-30s. If they are as good then definitely worth it at that price, plus you get a premium brand too.

^ Second that. From what Ive read the entry level , mid-range UE products are not so great and due to the extreme competition there are lot better products out there in the market.Anyways since I haven't personally tried any of them, won't draw conclusions .

The one's interested should read up reviews on head-fi and look for comparisons before buying.

Let me see if I can source/ audition a few models to compare with the PL-30,PL-50,NuForce etc. Any idea who is the official distri ?

For me if it has to be Ultimate Ears , it has to be the Triple Fi 10 or a pair of customs :D.

From all that Ive tried till date around 1k the PL-21, PL-30 are without any doubt the best IEMs .A step above that the RE-2,PL-50 are the one's to get.Beyond that ,it becomes difficult to decide and highly subjective as well as it depends on the personal tastes.

But if I had to name it , it's the RE-0 which is one of the best under 5K.

PS : All personal suggestions.

UE triple fi 10 is one amazing IEM i have heard till date i have auditioned it at jaben for more than 2 hours i fell in love with it .There is one problem with the IEM its a bit bulky to wear all the time but there are customs .I might get it pretty soon

Guys. I'm confused here. I want to buy a replacement for my shitty ipod touch earphones with remote+mic. Budget not yet decided(I may suddenly go for Ritvik's IE7 :D). Is UE 100v good / is SoundMagic MP21 better?

^ With a MP-21 right in front of me (working on a review )..I strongly suggest them. For the price ,they are the best ;).

If you can get the IE7, nothing like it .

^ Thanks for the quick reply.

Actually I can get IE7 from Ritvik, but again my biggest investment on audio earlier had been my old EP-630s. So a little skeptic.

One more thing with IE7 is I would be using it with my ipod touch only and would hate to use the touch screen for all the control without a remote. Any suggestions in that area - remote for ipod touch for use with IE7. I know about the local 200 Rs adapters, but wouldn't they interfere with sound-quality of IE7?

^ Thanks Ritvik. iLuv looks promising. But I've read and heard bad reviews about the Griffin one.

Also, I think FiiO E1 would also suit me and can get it here itself :) Anyone has E1? how is it? Is it compatible with the latest iPod touch?

Received it yesterday. But I am not eligible to do a comparison, the best iem I have used so far being EP630! But I find it far better than EP630 in all aspects except bass which I find too much to my liking, though the bass quality is better. May get better with burning in. Overall I find it VFM.

The problem with audio is that once you get used to a higher quality product the ones you had earlier become unlistenable :D
