These are nearfield studio monitors, hence designed to work near walls. Plus, pic #5 shows the bungs provided to cover the ports if required.
 
I too am having big trouble with the walls...can't keep my speakers too far away from the walls due to space constraints

Can't keep them in the bigger living room as no AC there and sit in the heat to listen to them :(

Zhops..wouldn't you need a sub with monitors?
 
SC, you need room treatment, specially bass traps. As for the sub...these can very easily go below 45hz if driven properly. Should be good enough for most types of music.
 
Stands are ready!




Polished granite looks much better than I'd imagined :D And that's just simple cuduppa in the middle. Had no money left for more granite :p
