Can you tell us more about the powerline adapter? How does it work and does it need some kind of special wiring or can It work between any two power points in the house? A review would be great!!

The principle behind it is simple. It uses your power cables to transmit data. No extra wiring required. Yes, it can be used between any two power points in your house as long as they are on the same circuit.
