It isn't new, they used to be known as Galaxy back in the day, they changed their name a few years back when they merged with KFA2 iirc and seem to have returned to the Indian market from the look of things.
Decent alternative once you clarify who's handling ASS.

My brother in law bought the same model for 1.42L from ethos 3/4 months back. I though things were expensive in India but they are cheep here then overseas.

Yes, I think the price increased here as well. But it's okay, I generally like the entire buying something I like when I'm traveling...

Current MRP is somewhere around 2L on ethos they do offer some good discounts on MRP.
