The "Everyday" show-off thread !

What's your tech stack if you mind sharing?
at FANG, tech stack doesnt matter one bit, at higher experience levels, you can pick up a new tech stack pretty easily, fundamentals never change wherever you go
L4 (I have less than 5 years of total experience, L5 generally needs 6+)
ahh, I figured you were way more experienced XD, I love your self hosting threads.

I know tech stack didn't matter in FANG but really wanted to know about your tech stack. We all know for your networking skills.
I am a full stack developer, sharing a section from my resume:

My significant recent projects were in Java/Springboot + React, NodeJS/Typescript/Express + React, C++.
Congrats John Wick (Fav fictional character)
Funny story: I have never watched any John Wick movie. Maybe I should start?

Most of that is true, but you are likely to get a team match for a relevant role rather than complete new tech stack. I have seen people get questions related to relevant technologies in team match round by hiring managers, although those are very rare. Till L4, interviews are only Data Structures and Algorithms related. L5 has system design round. (unless you are applying to specific domain role like Android/ML, then one DSA round is swapped for domain specific round).

John wick - 1st is smashingly good if you are ok with not thinking too much. Hotline miami - the movie.

Oh maaan... now this is great stuff! This is an art I tell you, the sheer joy of looking at a Roti fluff up like that and then off to the dining table it goes on a plate awaiting to be dipped in some thick delicious daal or eaten with aloo tarkari, yum yum!

I mean yeah, at the Resume shortlisting stage definitely but once you are in? not really, tech stack varies way too much internally unless like you said its a Domain specific round, but I have seen entirely new tech stacks used within teams as well. These days even L4 are expected to know basic system design, hiring at FANG is really screwed.

Fluffy Phulka is a challenge to make in the morning busy schedule. It requires skill man.
All we can do is to eat them and get to work. ( Not one word of dissent, if the food ain't g8 )

Not to scare you but this just under 10% in IT but yeah 110% for @napstersquest expertise or experience.

Believe it or not but I'm an good at that...making round fluffy chapatis. But I hate to make chapatis esp., the entire process.
My wife's phulka' s deserve the "daily meme" thread"

Yeah sure, no one will be learn everything in IT, but loads of stuff here in his CV.
I like coding but i found out that all the other IT stuff is not for me, so i left after getting tired of it.
Dont leave us hanging what you doing now? Maybe other people who are frustrated with IT can draw some inspiration to finally quit.

Would not recommend it as career really, it has very low pass rate. I am trading in stocks (intraday for now). Happy with it.
Its risky as a career because almost 98% dont seem to make good money and 90%+ lose. Some lose a lot.

But i did not leave for trading, i thought maybe ill try to learn game programming or something and learn c++ and move from there( was working in java ).
I did learn some c++ started doing courses ( coursea / edx had just started then a decade ago ), but eventually started looking at trading instead and coded software for trading instead,.
It took 5-6 years to get it and turn profitable. Many don't. Most people i knew on forum ( traderji ) did not turn profitable.

Best to avoid unless you are really into it, willing to wait and don't have a gambling mentality.
I had savings, i am not much of a spender. That helped. Family supported too.

this is pretty much on par and you'll pick most of these up as you move between startups, none of this is specially complicated, only syntax differs, basic fundamentals will always remain same, as you move between companies it'll only get easier to pick up new stuff as long as fundamentals are strong, that's why fang/fang adjacent never emphasises on a tech stack unless it's very domain/project specific.
