It's not had that many writes but rather that's the rated endurance of the SSD. It's special because it's an enterprise class SATA drive, and one of the last of ultra high endurance SATA drives before the industry gradually moved over to U.2 drives for commercial/enterprise applications, and SATA and M.2 became relegated to mainly consumer use.
