PC Peripherals The Ideal Full tower Chasis

Before I got my Stacker 830, I always thought it would be the perfect full tower cabby for air cooling, but after I got it, I found it far from it in many aspects. For one its really crampy for a full tower cabinet and its hard to work inside. The removable motherboard tray is handy, but even that has its limitations. Using large HSF's is a PITA. Don't get me wrong. Stacker 830 is an excellent cabinet in its own way, just that its far from ideal for me. I am beginning to wonder whether my ideal full tower is even in existence. Here is what I think is my idea of an ideal full tower.

1. Solid Aluminum design with weight <= 12Kg.

2. Support for ATX / E-ATX Motherboards. without the cabinet getting cramped.

3. Sufficient length wise dimensions to accommodate long Graphics cards

4. Sufficient width to accommodate large CPU HSF's without having to remove fans on the side panel.

5. Removable motherboard tray that is easy to work with.

6. Enough 120mm or larger fans at strategic positions to make it an ideal air cooling cabinet.

7. Bottom mounted PSU with support for long PSU like Corsair HX1000 without having to bend the cables.

8. Support for installing at least 6 HDD without messing up ventilation for the same.

9. At least 3 x 5.25 bay devices.

10. Easy Cable management.

Is there any such cabinet in existence and available in India? :P

How is TJ09 much more spacious than Stacker 830? The Dimensions are as follows

CM Stacker 830: (W) 25.0 x (H) 53.6 x (D) 63.8 cm

CM ATCS 840: (W) 24.3 x (H) 58.0 x (D) 63.0 cm

SS TJ09: (W) 21.0 x (H) 52.5 x (D) 60.5 cm

TJ09 is smaller in all the dimensions. Even ATCS 840 only advantage is in terms of height and bottom mounted PSU.

I reconfirmed from our really good friend this forums has :).

Not too sure if they measured cm stacker 830 or ATCS this way, but if the stripped down cm 590 and cm 690 frame is compared, they are identical in dimensions. Coolermaster takes their case measurements which includes everything- case feets, buldging out plastic moulds on top/side/front panels, handles if any, etc. If you think about, despite stacker 830 being shorter than ATCS by few centimeters, the dimensions gives an impression that it shouldn't feel like a cramped case, should it?

Measuring your stacker case with all the panels connected should confirm if the measurement is the overall measurement of the case or just the frame.

Ideally, its a frame that supposed to be measure becaue that's what comes into use:

The above picture is a stripped down ATCS 840. If the dimensions are as same as the dimensions mentioned above (without the handle being included on the mobo tray, which I hope they didnt), then ATCS is a big case. Not sure if silverstone measures the same way.

If I were you, I would confirm with guys like toolius as he has a good experience with full tower cases and has multiple builds- especially from lian li, antec, I think there was a nzxt tempest evo somewhere and also I think he had a CM case (again- not sure if its ATCS but its a full tower).

Edit: Toolius said that ATCS is very much bigger compared to stacked 830 as far as internal structure goes. He didn't like the top fans which had lower RPM and there was no way to increase it.

^^ Of course I absolutely love the design concepts used in the Lian Li X2000 as well as X1000. But with a PSU of non standard length installed, the bottom HDD rack will be unusable in both models and not to mention the fact that the X2000F is an uber costly chassis at twice the price of your typical aluminum full tower.

@Sorcerer: Yeah, I know what you are saying, the ATCS does look more spacious even in the videos, but the SS TJ09 doesn't look like its more spacious than Stacker 830.

check out p80 & tj10

I'm using the ATCS , build quality is a bit flimsy ( I guess to make it light ? but screw rivets falling out was a bit too much ) and also the space behind the hdd bays where the sata and power cables go is a bit limited (Actually don't know if I'm being fussy or all cases are cramped with all the hdd bays used up :P )
But plus points wise the fans are quite good and move a lot of air while being quiet and the dust filters really work , after a month there is very little dust lying around
