I asked roop technologies for prices of viewsonic monitors today.

When I searched Google for specification of Viewsonic G76F+SB I rubbed my eyes twice as I ws shocked :O because it supports -

2048x1536@60Hz

1920x1440@64Hz

1792x1344@68Hz

1600x1200@77Hz

1280x1024@88Hz

1152x864@104Hz

The monitor equips with 0.25mm ultra-fine aperture grille pitch DismondTron tube and combines with a 2048x1536 high resolution. According to the company, the UltraBrite technology has a 3-5 times higher brightness level than normal CRT for optimum viewing pleasure; the SmartBoard III image replay technology that brings absolute precision in image display controls without affecting the color tones and leaving any imaging flickers.

It is a 17 inch costs Rs. 7750 and it's a Samsung Killer.

Those are great prices!
My first choice was Viewsonic!!
When i was hunting for 19" crts Start of Q4 2005, the E90FSB didn't do 1600x1200@75, but cost 13K!!
When i asked priya group and Roop Tech for one that did, they recommended the G90 and quoted 18K odd!!:@
Finally got a Samsung 997DF instead- 12.5K in Oct2005!!:P

amazing find .. repping u . the 19" G90f+ is surely a good deal. but i am looking for a model Viewsonic P97F+SB 19" on the website and i cant find it .. this model was tested by IC CHIP in Nov 2005 and has excellent resoutions such as 1600*1200 at 85 hertz .. any idea bout this one guys ???

The P series is currently not available in India.

i think that you have lower rep points than me that is why you are getting that msg.
 
Nice peice of info there udit.

I still cant believe a 17' monitor supporting 2048x1536@60Hz , 1920x1440@64Hz , 1792x1344@68Hz , 1600x1200@77Hz

And the cost is also amazing

Must be just for bragging rights ... or maybe for the Ants in your Pants to read their emails :)
 
okie guys .. theitdepot has listed viewsonic monitors on their site .. the pricing on their website is as follows :

ViewSonic - G-90F - 19 inch - 14,719 + 1575 (shipping)

no 17" crt monitor listed there :(
