Hi people.
Well i just checked out the friend's 6800GT which is installed in his new system.
Out of curiocity i used a tool nibitor and opened the bios of the card that i has saved using nvflash.
And to my surprise the manufacturer there is written as Gainward and not XFX.
There is nothing wrong with the card and its brought shrink wrapped.
Its 100% XFX with bloue PCB.
So i checked the card that i have and same there.
I called up couple of other friends who has XFX 6800GT. And one of them is saying his card is properly getting XFX as manufacturer.
Its only the new cards that are reporting this strange thing.
I could thing of only 3 explainations.
1. Its buggy nibitor.
2. XFX is using Gainward Bios.
3. Gainward is making cards for XFX (OEM supplier).
all cards were purchased form seperate dealers so that rules out the fraud on dealer's part.
Strange................
