it maybe the best in price : size of mousepad ratio..but trust me, i doubt its quality for competitive gamers , the everglide titan medium or razer goliahtus speed / control medium is far better buy at arnd 300rs more , or even the normal qck at under 900rs:)

Erm.. go for a Qck Plus instead mate or maybe Goliathus Speed/Control would be good as well.

Never heard about this surface earlier.

i bought one SS quick mini for ~.5k, not impressed with the quality(traction wise), before that i have used steelpad large size.. that was really really good :D... now don't even have the space for quick mini :P .. i've the worst computer table ever :( , so if the mousepad is for FPS gaming then get large size ...

yea grab this pad unless you can find a similar sized one at similar pricing. i haven't used it but let me tell you that when it comes to cloth pads, there aren't many surfaces which are truly better than the rest. most of them are extremely similar so you can adjust rather quickly.

when using cloth surfaces, there isn't much reason to go for a higher priced product unless you're so used to a specific brand that you don't feel the need for change. one factor you want to take into consideration however, is the friction. some people like low friction for smoothness while others prefer high friction for resistance. i personally like something in the middle which gives me the right amount of glide and control. if you have an uneven table, then the thickness of the mat is also something you should look at but for most people, i'd assume that it isn't much of a problem.

a razer or steel logo simply doesn't make a pad any better. cloth pads are as basic as they can get. ignore the marketing bullshit. there are many pro players who use cheap cloth pads from relatively unknown brands and still perform very well. i had this Rantopad C4 and a cheap, small Microsoft OEM pad. they suited me better than my Razer Mantis speed.

what exactly makes these surfaces "better"?

most sites say the same thing that cloth pads are not "extremely" different from each other.. the thickness might vary a bit.. but shouldn't take long to get used to it..

its just my personal opinion , or say my taste . Just have a look at the pic of that OCZ pad...its hugely textured , and for sure offers a lot of resistance than a normal mousepad , no way near as smooth as a goliathus or say titan . I feel the OCZ is similar to the control type mantis pads/goliathus pads...and it may not be according to the "poster's" taste...so just mentioned the other alternatives available

I have used the rantopads, they are really cheap and better than these as u said .
