The Nemesis of Show offs

^^ My 3DMark11 score is actually slightly higher than stock HD6970 CF. 6970's in CF score somewhere around 9.4~9.5k. 6990 is also around the same mark after unlocking. Not bad considering that these are running off 2 x 6 Pin PCI-E and load temps are under 67~68 deg during benching.

Have you overclocked your 6950's? Stock 6950CF scores around 8.0 ~8.2k.. I imagine yours should do 8.6 ~ 9.0k @ factory OC. HD6950's scoring 9.6k is impressive indeed!

^^ Of course I did overclock the cards. :p Check the screenies. Factory OC is minuscule (only 10 MHz above AMD default), so that doesn't make much diff at all, however these cards have pretty good OC potential. They still have more room for overclocking even after my own overclock. Of course one can OC stock 6970's as well, but show me one stock HD6970 that can run at such low load temps even in single GPU mode (Crossfire temps are usually much higher than single card temps)

More overclocking and benching.

^ you have forgotten to update your siggy :p

Yeah, Have to change Siggy. :p

^^I am actually very happy that I didn't go for the i7. Just look at the trend of 2500k and 2600k overclocks on the forum. It seems to me that we Indians got a very good lot of i5 2500k's compared to 2600k's. 2500k

s are hitting pretty good overclocks with decent voltages and thermals.

^^ Thanks mate. The Windows 7 Experience Index and 3DMark 11 scores posted in this thread are out dated now. Check the Windows Experience Index thread in the Overclocking & Modding section for my new WEI of 7.7 and the 3DMark 11 thread in the Graphics Cards section for my new 3DMark 11 score of 10054.
