Two days ago, Google announced the second edition of their nexus tablet - Nexus 7 will launch with Android 4.3 JellyBean. Besides the USA, a few other countries are expecting the Asus Nexus 7 soon on their shores such as the UK, Canada, Germany, Spain, France, Japan, Korea, and Australia. As you can see, India is not on that list, but Google's official Nexus 7 India page there is a "COMING SOON" sign which makes us believe that the launch of the Tablet in India may not be very far away afterall.

The specs of the new Nexus 7 tablet are very decent for the price indeed. It sports a glorious 7 inch IPS 1980*1200 screen, a supposed 178 degrees viewing angle, and it is being run by a 1.5 GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S600 processor and 2 Gigs of RAM. The internal specs are very similar to the international variants of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One mobile phones. It is also launching with the new Android version of 4.3 (already available for most Nexus devices), which is still being called JellyBean.

The Nexus 7 will come in three variants; 16 GB ($229), 32 GB ($269) and a 32 GB ($349) with 3G/LTE support, but the Indian prices or launch date are unknown as of now. It is up for pre-order in the USA, and is launching by the 30th of June.

Doesnt Nexus 4 have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SOC?[DOUBLEPOST=1374901721][/DOUBLEPOST]Edit: It has the S4 pro SOC, and not Snapdragon 600 SOC

It's confusing branding but Nexus 7 actually has a S4 Pro from the Snapdragon 600 family with Krait 300 cores. So an underclocked 600. While Nexus 4 was from the S4 family with Krait 200 cores. Not too optimistic about Nexus and India release though things can only get better.
