I searched TE and was not able to find a thread dedicated to perfumes and fragrances. That's why I decided to open this thread.
We can use this thread as a discussion for all types of perfumes, fragrances, Deodorants or anything that you wear occasionally or daily or anything for that matter.
The discussion can be from the lowest Type of perfume which I believe are the ones that you can find in medical stores and supermarkets, From brands like Fogg and axe and All to even the most expensive brands, everything is welcome here.

I will start with my query here.
I'm a 40 plus year old guy and wants to buy his first good perfume. My only experience with perfumes is the ones that my relatives would get from US (when I was younger) and one I bought myself was souled store galactica which seems to be a knock off of David off coolwater.
I have absolutely zero knowledge of perfume. I just started browsing the subreddit /r/desifragranceaddicts and have got enlightened with many new terms. I am checking the posts there and found some recommendations like
Blue by Ahmed
Hawas / Hawas Ice, Hawas Black
Nautica voyager

But then i am getting totally lost. Also found that people order sample / trial / decadents of say 5ml and such sizes to try before committing to fill 100ml bottles. I am open to doing that but that also I don't know what to order as those sample ones aren't cheap either.

I recently started following desifragranceaddicts and bought some popular fragrances. After buying 4-5 I unfollowed the subreddit because I spent too much and I don't go to parties much. Here's my short take on the ones I bought.

Rasasi Hawas and Hawas Ice - Most long lasting amongst the ones I have. Only con is they aren't much different. ( at least for me).

Club De Nuit Intense Pur Parfum - 1st time ever in my life I got a compliment for wearing a perfume. Probably the best one amongst all. Strong but not as long lasting as Hawas. If you're going on a date, absolutely get this.

Rasasi Fattan - Strong and good. Has lemony note and sits somewhere in the middle of the 3 I own. I wear this for day to day office meets.

I think I've got enough stock for a year now. Also, people suggest to keep these perfumes for a month for "maceration" in a cool and dark place. I did the same.

If you wanna buy one, get Hawas Ice in my opinion. It's summers and the perfume is long lasting. Its an all rounder and works for every ocassion.

Did you happen to buy those small trial packs before buying a full bottle?
Because i see even trial packs aren't cheap. I am looking for seller that sells 2ml decadants. Most websites seem to sell min 10ml.

went yolo in on all these. You can't go wrong with Hawas. Try to find the thread on reddit which explains the difference between fake and real. I buy from Khanna Bros.

Any good/reliable online places to buy from, for any of the good ones listed?

I see that there are some "reliable" (as per the subreddit folks) dealers who deal on whatsapp and such and delivery genuine product.
Some provide the sample packs too.
 
I have had good experience with Khanna Bros. You can go with them.

I started getting into frags around 1.5 months ago, since then I have bought 5 full size bottles and around 15 decants (trial packs).

Cheapest decanter by far is Darsh Mittal (9999320748), Khanna bros are also quite cheap but their after sales is not good.
Full bottles are available for a big discount with these grey market dealers like Raphael frags, Acordell etc. I would suggest to simply search the r/desifragranceaddicts sub with the name of the perfume, you will find the past prices and from whom to buy it from.

My favs-
Overall - Club de nuit intense par parfum 150ml (3k)
Winters - Lattafa Khamrah and Afnan 9PM (Around 2k each)
Summers - Kaaf or ADG Profondo (clones as OG is quite expensive)
Cheap daily under 1k - Ajmal Zeal
Honorable Mentions - Theoreme (overall), Egra Men (great clone for unique forest wood like smell), CK One (nostalgic and greatly performs)

Where did you get cdnim pp at 3k?
And how much did profondo cost you?

With cdnim i have read batch matters a lot and how it used to be great but is now watered down etc..
 
I've been into this for a couple of years now. Currently chasing a good LV imagination clone (can't afford the real thing).

I got it from Varun David (Raphael frags), the bottle had the chain missing so he gave 200off for it. Mine batch is Oct 2024, I didn't fret much about the batch as I thought going with a legit seller is more important.
Profondo clone is a 20ml decant I got from XLNC perfumery. It is a pretty good clone to be honest.
