Off-late, two of Samsung's series of phones have been the most successful - the Galaxy Note series and the Galaxy S series (S2, S3 etc) and it seem like the successor to the Galaxy Note 2 phablet may be unveiled to the general public as soon as September of this year, just under 2 months away, at the IFA 2013 event which will take place on the 4th of September, 2013.
The source which is Korean just like the electronic giant, also say that the screen on the new Note III will be a 5.7 inch one, and the resolution will be 1080p (Full HD). The screen size was also leaked previously by EVleaks, and they are usually reliable.
But one more rumour is doing the rounds, and that is that the Note III might come to certain markets with an IPS LCD screen, and not a Super AMOLED one which Samsung usually used on it's premium phones. The main difference is that Super AMOLEDs have very deep and flawless blacks but less than perfect Whites, whereas LCDs are the opposite.
Internal specifications are supposed to include 3 GBs of RAM, and a Qualcomm Snpdragon 800 or Exynos 5 depending on the market. Also, the camera on the Note III is being upgraded from the 8 MegaPixel shooter on the Note II to a 13 MegaPixel shooter also found on the Galaxy S IV. An LED flash will be ever-present. The phone is going to go slimmer as well, measuring in at 8mm.
When the Galaxy Note III launches, it will compete with phablets from other companies now, naming the big ones - the LG Optimus G pro, and the Sony Xperia Z Ultra.
