^^ Manifestos, promises and expectations keep changing during an election you know :P

After all that 10 lines should not matter for the votes...it should be rather what people have about you in mind to choose one as representative of your community or not.

Otherwise it will become like our general elections...where we do have lot of points and promises just to get the votes. Just see the TN Elections :D

Maybe here is the sample manifesto which I had prepared should have been posted to be the normal representative types.

---> Contributed solely and whole-heatedly to Techenclave only almost all through out the lifetime of TE .

---> Contributed quite a few professional reviews and small user reviews exclusively on Techenclave.

---> Always wanted everything in the best interest of Techenclave and helped each and every member to my ability in last 5 and half years.

---> Made some industry contacts thanks to TE and in turn made them aware about this Technology Forum and its platform exclusively

---> Always shared all of my contacts to all TE members for community benefit, let it also be sharing the best deals, offers etc.

---> On the funny side, made the General Section a peppier place to be with all the fights and make ups :D.

---> Finally helped Techenclave to become like a large family of fellow minded people with frequent bashes and in turn some of my closest friends now being from TE only.

None of the above is anything which actually which I contributed or helped in building TE in last 5 years as all this came from the inside because of the awesome TE members we have here and the great community we have built over the last 6 years.

I am sure I will continue to do the same whether I am a CR or not as it does not matter much to me. There is something in Techenclave which is much closer to my heart and I will cherish it for ever. Its the TE community and its members.

I am sure that wouldn't be the case for both of us, wouldn't you agree? :).

Truth be told I was under the impression moderator/group of moderators are ones who play the role of a "community representative". If I am not mistaken, moderators still do play that role without that title. Medpal said via FB that community reps are chosen by the people but if you put it a bit of a thought, if the moderatorship was chosen as public voting, pretty sure most of the usual suspects will be chosen. But as medpal says: CR is chosen by the people- there ya go!!

In any case- win or no win, I will do what I or anyone in this list will always do for the good of the community :). Digit, chip, TE, IVG- doesn't matter to me.

As already I have stated the work you are doing for the Indian Hardware Community is just awesome and praise worth by all of us :D

^^ Voting % is very low when we have more than 2k active members :(

Can we get this thread to something which shows up more prominently in all new posts or something. May be that can help things up :)

i think the contenders should be allowed to mass PM..if it is voting then they do have fair chance to reach out for votes..

It may not mean alot to all members but would mean alot to the one's who have been nominated; emotionally if not any other way...

I think a way to give this thread a higher priority by being visible on top for next 4-5 days is good enough :)

Mass PMing everyone and spamming their inbox isn't the way for me to go at least :)

I understand the ethics involved in it.

What I meant to say is, as long as your intension remain clear then there is no harm making people aware.

Not for just a vote for you but to beware that there is even an election going on.

Afterall it will help the election and community more than individual candidates.

OR

How about Mods mass message everybody about The Election so that a better voting percentage can be achieved!!?? :)

Seeing at contributions, I would want both of you to be CR, neither of you would anyways be stopping after election. Having 2 CR would motivate both of you too. If it is possible to have 2 ..

i think only those persons have voted for the 3 contenders who some how know of them in some way or the other , so its not necessary that inspite of 2k active members all are not interested in voting ,

for others who want to vote and are unaware of this thread, may be a prominent listing shud be done , so that it has maximum reach ! :)

Well i dont know any of the three candidates beyond the scope of their posts here on TE. Its just that a higher voter turnout would have been desirable:D, even though it might not make a difference to the eventual results. Regarding the listing, well the week is coming to an end so too late really for that.
