Well, an ultimate gaming PC will now have a FX-60.

Id prefer a 4800+ than a FX-57 anyday :P.

FX-57 pricing sucks. Please 4800+ equals it anyways.

And youd rather build your own PC for all that dough.

I dont think it would be fair to compare both...
correct me if i am wrong.
 
Looks fugly, is overpriced. An Intel rig too..
B$ gimme that much money I will build my own rig ;)
And I bet most of the members here on TE will agree with me. Building your own rig is a much better option, you can customise any part you want. Take the best VFM parts, and juice them optimaly. ( Opteron 144 for eg !!)

EDIT : I just cant seem to help but flame Intel EE WTF a $1000 proccy being beaten by a 400$ AMD counterpart, and then they advertise the ultimate gaming machine, et B$. I pity the sods who bought that proccy, as I believe even a 3000+ clocked at 2.5 ghz ( which many of TE members are actually achieving ) would be faster then an EE.
120$ > 1000$

FX 57 would OC more, has unlocked multipliers, and no games take advantage of dual core proccies as of yet.

But yeah given an option, I wouldnt take any of them :bleh: X23800 is a better VFM.
 
^^You obviously havent read about the dual core patches for Q4 and COD2 :). Major performance boost!
 
I know, eventually X2 or dual core FX would be the supreme chip but come on man,X2 came later than the FX series.
Also i agree with ya,3800 is better VFM.

It doesnt matter anyways, no real hardcore gaming will buy a Branded PC.

I had read about ATI releasing drivers for dual core CPU's, but I think FX 57 is yet the fastest gaming proccy around ? correct me if I am wrong.
 
Not anymore. A 4800+ @ 3 Ghz has beaten the FX-57 in Quake4 , UT2004, Quake 3 benchmarks. I 4got the link, so dont ask. Zzz..
