its opening here.. guess in office some proxy

can i tell a suggestion..

the motherboard section needs extensive updation pplease

I've added and updated the internal hard-disk price list section.

@The Sorcerer

I haven't updated the RAM section price list yet. I think the RAM section needs an overhaul too. We can cut-off some unnecessary specs. A usual format like this should go well enough:-

| Brand | Model | Type | Speed | Cost | Warranty |

Okay so this is the people that we have:

From chip, for now there's CPG, Erif and anant_xinix. From Digit, we have topgear, ico, krow and nbaztec. From techenclave, we have Gannu and xtech maniac.

There's always me.

3-4 people from each forum is adequate for now to keep this list updated. For now, this is displayed on TDF and chip. No word/post from TE mods (yet) even though I pitched this idea (a working idea) 8 days ago. All I request is that they implement that google spreadsheet display code. There's nothing much as I want to say because no1 from the mod team showing any signs of interest. At the end of the day its for everybody's benefit.

In any case, this list is maintained by the members and will always be taken care by the members. I am sure with equal dedication from time to time this list will be constantly updated. Other forum admins are free to display this on their tech forum, provided they let one of the contributors know and give a little credit.

I think we should concentrate more on the prices rather than specs. We can cut-off some unnecessary specs.

For example the the RAM/Mobo sections needs an overhaul. Its messed up with so many specs.

If @nbaztec is up for re-coding his whole "Build my Rig" page, then I think we can proceed further and remove those unnecessary spec.

--- Updated Post ---

Here are some specs that we should remove:-

Intel/AMD Motherboards - Form factor, CF/SLI, Max Channel support, Spdif/Coaxial, Dimm Slots, Ram Freq. Support,Sata, USB, etata, Firewire, IDE.

Intel/AMD processors - Codename, TDP, Turbo Boost, Hyper-Threading, VT-x, VT-d, AES New Instructions.

PC chassis - Type, Dimension, Fans Included,.

Power supply - PFC, 80 Plus certification type, Advertised Supply output(from +3.3V to +5VSB), Power Connectors.

Graphic cards - Output Ports.

Monitors - Panel type.

CPU Coolers - Fan size, Weight.

Storage-external, SSD & flash - Perfect.

Internal Hard Disk - Perfect (maybe Cache).

Speakers - Perfect.

For Rams make it like this:-

| Brand | Model | Type | Speed | Cost | Warranty |

@ xtechmaniac: nah, its best if those remain or else there's no point calling it as spec list, is there?

Gagan and metalspree onboard the price/spect sheet. We have adequate people to take care of the list. Since there's no reply from the blue team especially after PMing renegade, people can put up their price/spec request here. One of the TE contributors (xtech maniac, Gannu, Gagan Jain, metalspree or me) will do the needful in our free time.

@The Sorcerer

Hmm fine. Even @nbaztech wants to cut-off *some* unnecessary specs, but not as many as suggested by me.

He made a new ram sheet yesterday(Rams), check it out. The backup of the old one has been made @ Rams[Specs].

Correspondingly udate @ Build Your Rig has been already made.

If satisfied, let us know. :)

Yeah some of the specs, say that of the mainboard are not required to be mentioned in that list. makes the work tedious for the editors. If possible, have them removed. It is upto the user to do his ground research before narrowing down his options so let us leave it at that.

@the sorcer

i to support removing lots of the redundant columns. just put a single column for stuff like that. if the editor wants to add.

else let the reader check up on google. he is gonna do that anyways

Those specs stays for now. I'll update them whenever some new model comes out. If they are removed then its not much of a specs anyways.

Ram prices/specs are updated. This list is also now displayed in Broadband India forums.

I have a google spreadsheet for displaying specs and price at TDF and chip forum, something like this:
Chip.in • View topic - Hardware spec sheet/price update/query/product FAQ here
Digit Technology Discussion Forum - Tech Discussion Forums in India - View Single Post - Hardware spec sheet/price update

Yeah!!!
So this is how its done. The universal spec sheet idea is that its gets displayed on multiple Indian tech forums. Few trusted people from the forums where this is displayed will get the power to edit out the spreadsheet via google whereas I will keep the ownership to myself. As it is most of us are in many forums, so its best if some resources/info is shared in common. Whatcha think? Good enough to implement this???Walao!!

If we already have some BB code to display this here already, let me know!

If the red people are wondering- no dealers, no sub dealers, no Company rep guys- period. I and few others have put a lot of hardwork so this is going to be edited by not-THAT-old and wise members.

I've had enough with you, that thread at DIGIT is mine, all that effort since years is MINE, and you had no authority to change the entire thing without taking my darn permission. And now you want to publish this all everywhere and claim your ****ing ownership??? This si not done. I have tracked ur thread at CHIP, and it's been nothing more than litter in front of my presentation, and yet u go on continuing in your perennial quest to barge into other techies work and RETAIN OWNERSHIP WHAT THE BULLSHIT MAN! GET A LIFE!

^^ I only suggested the idea. Its one of your mods who decided to use it in your thread. You have any problem, you can PM them. They didn't want to remove a sticky and put mine as a sticky so they must thought this is a better idea. In any case, talk to them its your moderators who did it. You might want to get your facts right before letting your tongue babble out words like that. Werent you the guy you put up a cheapshot comment about naga and decided to leave? This was the thread: http://www.techenclave.com/feedback...n-technology-community-worst-best-163124.html

So.. the thread starter in digit is comp@addict. i thght u were him. so both are 2 guys.. :S.

yes i'm the guy who made it, and he's the guy who has no lyf and goes about trumpeting every tech forum possible and tries to do his ultimate mission, CREATE STICKY THREADS WITH HIS NAME, or simply plant a seend to get his thongs in2 another ones.

I am the owner because google spreadhsheet allows one person to be the owner of the spreadsheet and I was the one who made it. Understand how google docs work first.

Oh yeah if you think you can provoke me by making childish insults, you thought wrong! :)
