Forget HD video or photo realistic graphics..Video games are meant to be fun ---Period----

Now Look at the glee on the faces of these buggers....If the pics are real then Nintendo is going to rule the gamin world again....

@superczar, that is most definitely real. i saw someone playing the Wii at a games store. it's exactly how it is lol.
 
I'm no console fan but Nintendo have revolutionized gaming (not just console gaming) with this idea... I want a Wii now lol, and I guess anyone can afford it considering it will retail for < $300. Very smart move by Nintendo, not getting involved in storage media or graphics wars, but bringing virtual reality to our homes.

he he . shooting duck was my favourite game with my console (name was media TV games or somethign like that ):p .. after Super Mario though .. i remeber how i got "caught" playing mario at night when everyone went to bed , i came out silently at arnd 1/2am , dont remember the time actually, i used to turn doen the volume to the lowest and play :ashamed: . but after getting caught, dad packed the console and hide it somwhere in the house for few days :(
 
People will soon stop playing like that, but the fun will remain. It is simple - when I was a kid, and I used to play platformers, I used to sometimes raise my controller when I made the character jump. It was just a sort of reflex because of how immersed I was in the game. Nintendo has taken that immersion and pushed it into the very essence of the gameplay.

i can play close to real tennis with my dad in my house man with a Wii. dont have to go to the courts :D it's crazy, it lets you play drop shots or powerful shots depending on how you move the wiimote.

by the way how are the games for the platform..and are they expensive like the PS3/x360 games..what format do the games come in ?(cd/dvd ??)
asking this cauz i told one of my frnd to get the Wii instead of that PS3 he was craving for but could not buy one due to the cost factor of the games (thinking he will play only 2 games a year @ 3k for a single game )

Crazy thought, but I'm contemplating getting the Wii for X'mas instead of a graphics upgrade - imagine COD3 on the Wii, wonder how crouching/proning/sniping etc. will work :D

I just checked eBay and the Wii is selling for no less than $500 - sucks, will have to wait a while I guess.

wii comes with wii sports - containing games lke tennis ,boxing,golf etc and they are highly addictive .. normal games costs arnd 50$
 
DBZ fans, if you're looking to buy a next-gen console, get Wii (first), because in DBZ Tenkaichi 2 on it (which is apparently the next big thing for Wii next to Zelda), you'll have to operate the wiimote exactly the way Goku does on screen. For example, if you want to shoot a KAMEHAMEHA wave, you'll have to do the action in real time to do the same on screen.

It is nothing short of being simply amazing.

oh yea ebay is gonna be way too expensive right now. like i said, every single store i saw was sold out so some monkeys will try to make extra money by selling to gullible people online :)

Unlike MS and Sony, Nintendo concentrated more on revolutionizing the game play rather than just concentrating on just graphics and sound. This is the way to go imo. I might buy one if I have something left after my DX10 upgrade.

You said it man, DBZ is the only game i miss a lot in PC, guess i don't need to buy PS3 for that:p , Wiill buy Wii before next year end for sure:clap:
