Hi,

I am building a rig, which I am planning to build it with theitdepot.com. Can any one post some reviews about them? Are they reliable? and what about their after dales support.

I will suggest the rig, but assembling the PC should be done by the seller.

Also reviews about other online sellers also would be appreciated.

Thanks

I had bought multiple items from them in the past, they were very reliable then, not sure about current situation. However they used to price their items higher than all other sites like SMC, TheItWares etc.

Bought a belkin gold 8 way surge protector a couple of years back. Genuine stuff and prompt shipping. Plus, their website is pretty fancy

Use caution with these guys. Their website is not updated and has wrong info\status of products. I just ordered a MSI x99 motherboard featuring USB 3.1 and they took my money instantly using net banking. Then just now i got a call from them that the select MOBO isn't available and i can pay 1K more and buy ASUS pro motherboard instead that doesn't even have USB 3.1.

Bloody ridiculous. Payment option should never be available to an online buyer when the product isn't even available or in stock. What's even worse is that the refund will be done in 7-10 days which is too long and now i'm stuck with no money to buy a new MOBO.

Very pissed from them. At least they were polite and assured me that i would indeed get my money back.

A general rule of thumb, is to call them and confirm the availability of the product prior to ordering, otherwise they are a genuine website, and very recently I also found that their PSU prices were cheaper than FK pricing. Hope that helps.

Yeah this seems to be the case with all Indian sellers like primeabgb, md computers, itdepot etc.

In any case a lesson well learned. Normally i never bothered to call anyone when ordering something in more reputed websites like snapdeal\flipkart\amazon\ebay etc. Amazon and Ebay are more better at these things and especially a product return or wrong product delivery. Although computer products there are generally more expensive in comparison to these local Indian ones.
