Thermalright SI-120

When we released our now famous XP-120 heatsink, the very first heatsink built to accommodate 120 mm fans, the XP-120 had one little draw back and that was, it was not compatible with all motherboards, so we set out to solve that little problem.

Today we are happy to announce the release of the SI-120 designed to fit all known Intel P4 and AMD K8 motherboards (at least we haven't found one that it didn't fit) while at the same time fitting into our Light 'n' Easy line of heatsinks.

but the heatsink does not seem to be as big as the XP-120(obviously)... but I wonder if it will affect the performance.

true, there is a lot less surface area....i guess the advantages are, cheaper manufacturing and more compatibility

yeah..its 45$+shipping at the Heatsink factory...pretty cheap eh? the XP 90C is 49$ tehre

Product Description & Info

When we released our now famous XP-120 heatsink, the very first heatsink built to accommodate 120 mm fans, the XP-120 had one little draw back and that was, it was not compatible with all motherboards, so we set out to solve that little problem.

Today we are happy to announce the release of the SI-120 designed to fit all known Intel P4 and AMD K8 motherboards (at least we haven't found one that it didn't fit) while at the same time fitting into our Light 'n' Easy line of heatsinks.

The SI series, like the XP series of Thermalright heatsinks, were designed to handle high power processors that consume more than 100watt power. And that includes today's “Dual Core” CPU's from both AMD and Intel.

The Thermalright SI-120 is designed to offer top notch performance for all Intel P4 CPU's including socket 775 versions (customized LGA775 RM required) and AMD K8 CPU's known to exist at this time!

Features
- 120mm Recommended fan for maximum cooling capability
- Multiple heatpipes for well spread heat around aluminum fins
- Soldered fins to copper base (nickel plated) to make effective contact
- Light weight and easy installation
- Compatibility across multiple platforms (socket 478/754/939/940)
Enormous wingspan gives extra cooling to MOSFET or NB chipset

its 45$ at Heatsinkfactory, and its avlbl since ages......very good HSF i must say...

Its very nice.

Dont we get faster RPM 120 mm fans though? :S.

I think ThermalTake has a 3750 - 4000 rpm 120 mm fan.

Now i see how it fits on all mobos though. Its really tall :P.

mid range??? its top end stuff dude :P a good 120mm fan will cost another 15-20$..so the total will come to around 70$ :P
