I have core i7 rig so i want to buy 3rd party air cooling
yesterday i called at primeabgb office .they give me the price quote of 3200/- (including 1366 bolt thru kit) shipped to punjab

Is this deal is good at that price ??

And any other product or accesory required other then fan when installing the Thermalright on mb??

thats a very fair price for the TRUE with the bolt thru kit. get it asap.
@sri_k, i doubt whether the sccf will handle a oced core i7

Go for the thermal right ultra...
its one of the best coolers around..
[H] Enthusiast - Thermaltake SpinQ, A1VX and BigTyp 14 Pro
see the results..
its even bettr than the noctua one which i thought was the best till now..
i guess the ccf if good enough but better coolers have come out...
in india coolers dont get much attention moreover no one looks to the latest ones..
my friend bought a high end system and imported the arctic cooling freezer 7 pro which was the best cooler some 4 years ago...:p
Now he can hardly overclock his c2d 8400 abobe 3.4 ghz..:p
go for it IMO its good..

Sunbeam has released a bracket set for corei7. I purchased it along with CCF. I will not overclock thee processor and planning to try corei7 with CCF.

Is thermalright better than CCF?

if you dont plan to oc then hardly any difference between the two.
the true is more expensive and comes without a fan but its amongst the top most hsf's ever made to date :)

TRUE shines with a good fan , Noctua works gr8 out of the box and very silent i give my word using it with my E8400 and sometimes i worry if its really working.

My Noctua NH-U12P + C2D E8400 idles at 33~35 and max 49 on Orthos small FFT Full CPU stress test.

Note : Thermal Right Ultra 120 Extreme [TRUE] doesnt come with a fan , its 3.2K just for the HeatSink

Ya The Ultra is for true blue overclocking...
you need to have a overclock friendly platform to get the max out of it..
Like a AMd Phenom II 720 be. or the intel ones....
Ultra doesnt have a fan, but throw in in some extra for a Scythe fan u have the most silent and powrful cooler of all..:hap2:

sccf will not be a good move with i7.

i would say chuck both sccf and TRUE and get NH-U12P SE2 ... inr3750 + shipping from itwares and includes 2 fan and NH-1 paste...overall better vfm package.

^^ The fan's quite good. But better get a fan controller too. Otherwise it will be noisy at full speed.

A fan controller is going to be a wasteful expenditure just for a single fan. Using the CPU fan header on the motherboard is a better way. Speeds can be monitored and can be controlled from the BIOS.

first when i called PrimeABGB he said 1366 bracket is available but when i called today he said 1366 bracket is not available..

Yikes! I think they have true120e black REV c but not too sure.

There's always noctua u2pse2- 2 great fans with excellent heatsinks and bolt thru mounting kits for LGA 775,1156, 1366 and with amd's bolt thrus kit- A complete package.

There's also thermalright cocage cool spirit and tuniq tower 120 extreme on display, but not too sure how good it is but take ccf out of the list. This time, do a research on the alternatives being told here and after being sure, place the order. Its always "first come, first serve" basis.

^The Cogage owns IMO. A stable OC like 4.2G on the i7 920 should be possible quite easily without a fuss. Last heard, the cooler retails for 2.6K.

The TRU120E Black is a joke! The scaling on the fins happens, despite giving it a Ni plating. Been suffering since the past 6 months. But this does not affect the performance of the cooler.
