Thin client with internet connectivity

Are there any devices available which can be connected to a modem/broadband only for internet connectivity ? I am talking about a stripped down PC + screen which can be made available for around 7-8K price bracket.

This can then be used to access web based software at restaurants, theaters, retail shops, petrol pumps etc. This cannot be a PC (because of the increase in price band).

Any ideas ?
 
Only thing I know according to your config is Internet ready TV.

But the price of Internet ready TV or Dumb Terminals are so high that you can get a full Sampron PC or 2 x 2nd-hand Computer PIII at that price.
 
I'd seen some thin clients at Prime. Didn't ask their price, but I'm sure they would be expensive enough to defeat they basic purpose :P
