Thinkpad T480 from Lenovo -Batery stopped charging

I have a brand new thinkpad Lenovo T480 model. it is one month old. All of a sudden, the laptop stopped charging.
i have tried the following to debug
  1. removing power and batteries --- holding down power button for 30s---powering on again-->Did not work
  2. I tired hard reset too--No use
  3. Removed the battery, removed the back panel, re inserted RAM, assembled back --> No use
  4. When I connected another working charger, still the laptop did not start charging--> hence i have doubts on laptop only

I need your help badly as i am in quarantine lock out situation. Pleae help
 
Sometimes the battery itself is faulty due to long storage without any use . Replace with another/ new battery.

You can contact "Lenovo' for warranty replacements
 
Did it happen after any Windows update? I've seen similar issues ( specially with dual batteries) in at least 2 T480 laptops after Windows update.
 
No!! Not the hardware..some strange driver issues messing up the dual battery setups.
I'm not very sure what exactly happened. However the IT guys fixed the issue.
