but i too liked the song even though cudnt understand the lyrics in between ..

give it a listen .twice thrice .. initially it sounds silly but then it grows on you..
 
I'm not a Tamil speaker, but reading the lyrics and listing to the song (90 secs or so), I got understood most of it.

Don't know why it's so popular or why it has a separate thread for it though. It's very 'slow'. Catchy music needs to be fast IMO. Maybe something was lost in translation...

seriously i really dont get why this song is a huge hit the dude's voice is totally out of tune with the song maybe thats what drawing 3 million views from across the world
