Tikona's retarted Plan !

Called up Tikona's call center a couple of days ago. I wanted to find out their tariffs.
This is how the talk between the Representative and me go.
Me: Hi, I'm looking for a high speed unlimited plan would you suggest something ?

Tikona Representative: We have unlimited 300 kbps for 599 and unlimited 600 kbps for Rs. 799.

Me (Interested): Nice .. i like the 600 kbps plan , do you have any other similar plans ..

Tikona Representative: Sir we also have Double speed plans .. you get Night time double speeds in those.

Me: Tell me more.

Tikona Representative: Sir, Day time 300 Kbps , night time 600 kbps , for Rs. 899.
Me: Wait a minute , Are you sure.

Tikona Representative: Yes sir.

Me: You said 600kbps UL for 799 .. and 300Kbps Day+600Kbps night UL for 899 .. why's that..

Tikona Representative: Sir , you're getting double speeds at night ..
Me: Double for 600kbps?

Tikona Representative : Sir Double of 300.

Me: Confused, : But why would anyone pay for this plan , when I can get 600 Kbps all day and night long for a 100 Rupees less.

Tikona Representative: Sir, But you don't understand , You're getting double the speed during night time !

Me: Double of 600kbps?

Tikona Representative: Sir Double of 300.

me Frustrated : * hit my head repeatedly on the phone and Hang up !

Nonetheless, the representative was right, the guy who planned the plan is indeed retarded < oops> Special !

Hahahaha.....i am laughing my heads off here.

First of all....i had seen this plan a long time ago but never bothered discussing it since i knew this was a <***> Special plan :rofl:

But i really liked how you have represented your convo with the representative.

I too noticed this long back. What happened here is that 300-600 kbps plan was the old one and the 600kbps FUL came after a few months. They must have reduced the price on the old plan or discontinued it altogether, which they didn't and hence the confusion. :bleh:

These kind of fools are every where and they will make ur life miserable.....:huh:
 
Did you guy's ever consider that there may be some fine print for the FUL plans as compared to the UL plans. I can see FUL, UL and FMC plans all listed as Unlimited plans, but the FMC plans have a monthly usage limit as mentioned in the fine print. FUL plans too must have some catch because of which they are cheaper. For example a quick look at the T&C section shows that the FUL plans have the worst contention ratios of all the plans listed. There many be other limitations as well.

The difference is in the Contention ratio :)
Again if you see there are two plans of 1mbps which cost 1399. (FUL1399 & XFul1399)
But the installation for XFUL1399 is Rs800 and the contention ratio is 1:8
where as for the home users 1399 plan the speed is same but installation is Rs500 and contention ratio is 1:40 :) (both unlimited)
The CC told me even that 1:40 is faster than 1:8 and then I had to explain him the concept of Contention ratio :D

But a lesson to learn to all SalesMen and CC guys. Knowing the product very well will help them better to screw the customer. not the other way :)

Yesterday the salesman in Sony World told me that full HD model is better coz it has 5Mega Pixel screen as compared to 1MP of non HD tv...
I could not help laughing but also felt like banging my head on the "5MP LCD"
