: He studied electronics at Jadavpur University and worked with three MNCs, but now, 47-year-old Arindam Bose has been arrested by the Economic Offences Wing of Crime Branch for allegedly cheating more than 200 buyers on the online shopping site Timtara.com.
Bose, who quit his job as vice-president at an Indian white goods firm three years ago, had floated Timtara along with three others, including his wife. Police say the fraud so far amounts to Rs 12 lakh but complaints against the firm are still coming in. Along with Bose, a director in the company, its CEO Harish Ahluwalia has also been arrested. Ahluwalia was earlier regional sales head of a small mobile phone manufacturer.
