My cable tv connection is getting worse day by day. Is this right time to get DTH any new DTH's comming next year with better options shd i wait ??? and can we record DTH connected to lcd using any pc app??? Im in hyd BTW. what regional channels tata sky offers ???
 
That would be the case with any technology, isnt it? All technologies keep on upgrading very regularly. And the general opinion is that if you have a requirement, go ahead and buy it. If you want to get it for luxury/bling, wait for the big releases, etc.

Right now, Tata and Dish are the big players, but Reliance may be coming out soon (no idea of the timeframes though) and as one of the threads here mentioned (quoting ET of course), that they will also be giving out LCDs with their package, which may cost upwards of 10K !!
 
I will put this very simple for you:

1. If you are a big HBO/Start Movies buff then go for Tata Sky.

2. If you need regional channels then go for DishTV, Tata Sky doesnot even get close to DishTV in that.

i would say wait for 2/3 months.

inquire for multiplay service of BSNL

it will have less channels but channels list is increasing and it will be at low prices too.

Reliance is about to entre the scene so you will have more options.
 
today i fall back from dish tv to local cable wallah.

not because of dissatisfaction but when dish tv costed me 225 per moth cable used to cost 240.

now a days cable cost gone down to 200 while dish cost has gone upto 300.

so will wait till the BSNL, Reliance and Bharti comes into market and STBs become unlocked then i will again switch back to DTH / CAS which ever is VFM.

Go For dishtv.
As with dishtv you have advantage on regional channels as no one can match with dishtv offerrings and also you will be getting all the channels you required.
