Too hot, suggest me a cooler or portable A/c

Hi guys, the summer here is killing me, i stay alone in a single room like a hostel room, suggest me a good cooler with nice chilling effect or a portable A/c (does it exists?), normal a/c , i can't install because i may change room after some months.. . . Anyone can help me out please..
 
You can always get a second hand AC thro some reliable service agency/A.C technician...

Else get a Kenstar Cooler if you need to!
 
well i am not sure a cooler can compare to a AC,they are different,one thing i have learnt is that a room with a cooler is actualy hotter then one without it thanks to the humidity the cooler creates,unless u position the cooler in such a way that its sucks the outside air via window or similar.initialy u might feel the cooler is doing a great job,but once u step out of the room that has a cooler switched on ,u will find that the room with the cooler is actualy hotter atleast these are the observations i have noticed.
 
even i'm intrested in portable type of ac(.5 ton is also ok), if it is really portable(don't want window ac)and is < 15k, i'll buy it for sure.. but i don't think if any ac is like that, last i inquired it was hitachi(1 ton, 35k) was the most portable i cud found, but the cost :(
 
I believe it is mentioned as floor stander a/c. It costs more compared to the normal ones. once i saw in shirdi temple in the range of 2 tons

3-4 years back when I was in Rajasthan for short period in month of May, I found Cooler cool 100x150 area effectively (terrace flat) though the cooler's back side was out of room as it was fitted in window just like A/C. :)

I feel like HELL when come out of room as outer heat to hot to bare by me.

well thats the main reason why u felt cooler inside ,since it was fitted like a A/c with the air intake outside the window bring in fresh air,and reducing the build up of humidity.anyway rajastan temp is a differeny story.;)
 
Symphony kaizen was the similar model which can be fitted outside like A/C. Dry climates such as hyderabad, rajastan is fine but humid cimates like chennai and mumbai it wont do good. You also need to open the window to vent out all the moisture and heat.
