I have some 100 plus games and 70 are already in one steam account. I was wondering if I should put my other games in a second account. I was basically thinking on the lines of some random event in which steam suspends the account, now who wants to loose all his collection for some random act of stupidity.

The thought start as I read on web that steam suspends account of a person for certain misuse and did not even provide a reason. What that guy did was to buy and gift games, at times in return asked for cover.

So what do you think?

I too have a similar concern, but because I share my account with @pratzgh1. I actually do not play any of the games though. Heard about Steam sharing recently, and will do that soon.

OP - I think unless you go about selling/buying games to trade/gift, this should not affect you.

Yeah @vivek.krishnan is a deal addict, not a game addict. :P

OP - You could try doing so, but heck, how many accounts has steam suspended! That was a case with some guy, having some issues with steam. So chill and game on.

I am a deal addict as well, have around 80-100 unplayed games. And about 30 new games to be added to library. It is a different question to answer without much data. Probably I will keep the games in my inventory till some time.

I saw a screenshot of someone's Steam account and he had 3000 games in that account. And there was a giveaway organised by the same person for celebration. I hardly think you'll have to worry about your account.

Just be careful with your account and you should be ok. Setup two step verification for the attached email, never disable Steamguard, never accept friend requests from unknown people and never ever click links from the chat window.
