For some of the torrent files which i d/l from mininova.org & which have high seeding rate i get this message -

'PROBLEM CONNECTING TO TRACKER - url open - connection refused'

.&.. the indicator never turns red/yellow/green

I use BIT-TORNADO v.0.3.7

Any soultion to this?

some torrents on mininova are from private trackers....u will have to register to connect to the tracker..........

^^^ iirc mininova doesnt have any private tracker torrents...infact no private tracker will allow their torrents to be hosted on mininova cos infact all the private trackers are passkey based(except for demonoid which was ip based tracker)...so no user will risk his ratio or rather his a/c by uploading a torrent with his passkey on public torrent site...and even if u do find a private tracker torrent it'll wrk wiht no probs whatsoever unless the passkey was reset...

as for the problem of the original poster...redownload the torrent file...that shud prolly do the needful...:)

got the solution.....the tracker was banned by demonoid, thus couldnt d/l.but now i can d/l through utorrent as it has a function called DTH which filters this kinda prob.

Thanx all for ur replies.

enable scheduling in the scheduler and click on the boxes as per requirements

boxes can have three colours for different modes as suggested in utorrent

you can schedule on hourly basis

thanx titana.
now, how can i allocate the schedule timings to one particular torrent.THe schedule settins r in general, right?

I'm not following the settings.Wat is full speed, limited speed?...

I have 5 torrents in my list of downloads, outta which 1 is active right now. I want to allocate diff time slots for each of the torrent.

+ can i preview my file as the d/l proceeds to check quality? is there any other platform like UTORRENT to do that?

Please help.

for utorrent you cannot schedule for individual torrents..

full speed is your full bandwidth from ISP

when you choose limited speed..you have to set the limit yourself just down below where it says up/down speed..it means user specified bandwidth..which you can set

yes you can preview those incomplete files but not always..go to zoom player codecs page and download the incomplete file playing codec..though it does not work always..site is probably inmatrix.com

for individual settings per torrent try using azureus...utorrent doesnot have that option as far as i know..no idea about other clients

hi,

Usually i observe that the upload speed is much better than the download speed.

Can i limit the upload speed to 0 kb/s or max 1kb/s ?

I tried these options, but i couldnt c any change even after doin this -

1. right clicking the torrent and setting the uploading and downloading the limit. ( the max uload limit is 25kb/s and my max broadband speed is 21kb/s  )

2. Options > preferences > queing = ratio is 0 & i ticked the option 'limit upload ratio = 0 kb/s'

Didnt c anything change even after doin this.

Please help.
