torrent stuck at 99.7%, looping in the end

my torrent is stuck at 99.7%, and i have downloaded a whole 1gb over the actual size \, all resulting in hashfails

i googled a bit, tried a few things, like defragmenting, disk error checking, all in vain

torrent is healthy, good availability
any ideas?

Just one....Delete the files in the torrent that are not at 100%.....force-recheck and start again.

try force starting it coz me also faced the same problem one time. it downloaded after i force started it.

One time my antivirus kept on deleting a suspicious file that was on the torrent and as a result the file was downloaded again and again. So check that also.

Otehrwise try force rechecking.

finally, i am starting the download again, but a different torrent file

just try this as well.

1) remove the torrent from your torrent client.
2) Download another torrent having same file (same file structure may with different trackers)
3) open torrent file & give same location as your old torrent.

This is same as forced recheck but it may work for you.

well....it was very informative and all....but didnt work me

Hmmm.... ok try the following.

> Force Re-Checking doesnt always work.

> Placing your files on HIGH priority works sometimes.

> Check your port forwards in your router.

> If the data is similar (File name/type/size has to be the same), copy the new trackers from the new torrent and update them in the old file.

check if there are peers/ seeders having the complete files (100%). If not, find a new torrent.

.also check if the antivirus is not deleting any files. Check the antivirus logs and qaurantine. It can happen that the antivirus is deleting it as soon as it downloads.

this happens when corrupted data is downloaded. Let the download on for 1 hrs at-least and check if it progress any further, torrent clients normally downloads good data and replaces the bad data over time.

and enabling encryption in preferences helps in reducing bad-seeders.

use peergaurdian, update it and then limit the number of connected peers in your torrent client to as minimum as possible.
