I recently came to my home but it has been shifted in a remote place in Jharkhand because of my Mamma's posting. So sad with the facilities here i picked up Airtel GPRS with pathetic speeds upto 4-5KBs and i was so sad of leaving my 512Kbps unlimited line back in Delhi until one day i happened to bump into my mamma's office computer.

They had Unbelievable net connection speed of Greater than 2Mbps !!! It touched closed to 3Mbps today ! :hap2: :clap:

I was overjoyed, took my laptop ran to office back and connected it and fired my downloads. Downloaded about 240 MB in 30 to 35 mins and then fired up my torrents only to see that they were BLOCKED :@ :no: :@

M so sad, m in heaven of torrenting in India bt its just not possible.

Tried encrypting the information in "mu"torrent but no good. I generally use bitcomet.
Any method to bypass this ridiculous restriction ? :huh:
 
lol u dont need to disable the firewall. All you need to do is exempt the port that client is configured to use.

Try some random ports or port 80. And see if you are able to get through.

But mind you, its illegal to use office connection for personal downloads and can get your mamma into trouble if he does not have permission.

Tried many random ports including 80 but to no avail, seems something to filter torrent traffic is in place. All the ports were being reported as blocked. I tried to access the router by typing in the deault gateway address to do port forwarding as we do in our small routers but found out that it wasnt accesible and when i went to look at the setup, it was a big almirah type deep freeze type cooled compartment with various light bliking in it. Eh... WTF ??
Whats the use of so high speed if no torrent :no:

Was told by staffs there that its a leased line. They know just this much. The real operator is not here for a few days.

As far as my mom landing in trouble, LOLz she is in government administrative service :tongue:
So do i need to tell how much trouble it can be :bleh:
 
Got this link on google, tried it but it totally stopped my net connection.

Torrents blocked? Get around it!

Couldnt fix it, so had to boot in XP for using the net further. Will have to uninstall and reinstall my LAN drivers. Huh....

Please help me someone, m dying to download so many things :D

M sitting on a gold mine while my shovel has been hidden in mine itself :no:
