Hi i have a portable USB2.0 casing with a Toshiba 80gb hdd.........its not working and its quite new im sure it will be in a warranty period but i cant find any place where i can check. has anyone ever had a hdd replaced from toshiba over here......Any help will be greatly apreciated.

did u open the casing?...try using another casing or a 2.5 to 3.5" converter cable....dj has it

@ apollyon the casing is fine the HDD has crashed completly not getting detected in bios

Need help with warranty, how can i check is there any toshiba hdd service centre in India.....i dont think there is one need to buy a new hdd probarbly

it was bought in dubai (i think) by my brother in law.......

Did it have International Warranty?

I think theres a service centre in Bangalore or summing :S.

any idea of the cost of a new laptop hdd? 80GB? 160GB?
