BEST of the BEST in Refrigerators and Washing Machines = Siemens ..... Thats what we bought last year. Cost me more than any of the other brands but IMHO worth it.
 
Toshiba took over Westinghouse because they wanted Westinghouse's nuclear power plant construction division. I don't know whether they took over the rest (refrigeration), but that is the impression I get.

but as i said siemens is pretty expensive (only for rich ppl like eazy) :D
 
^^Heh Siemens is mostly out of his budget though :D. It does have one around 30k but I think thats an entry lvl unit.
 
ohhh siemens.....oncei kidnap anil ambani while jogging ill demand that...+ also will sign a pak with relaiance energy for life time free electricity....

welll i had a godrej one earlier with lasted for ard 15 years i guess...than took samsung..hardly lasted 6 yars....jus when we were thinking to buy new it went kaput......had to spent ard 3k for repairing and than selling for 1k damn......

btw once awashing machine enginer came to my house and told...this days company themselves dont build product which last long...the only mantra...if it doesnt get kaput who will buy the product...so maximum 8 years most company builds...no idea abt high end stuffs.......

i m happy with whirlpool...but only problem i found was..when we bought their salesman came with some gr8 offerslike evey year servicing...7years freegas rechrge if it goes down and all ever year full checkup..and 6 months pat checkup.......for some 2k stuff......i enrolled...but i never knew a year completed...had to call them...but they came and check on first call...but i still guess if we pay seperately for warranty they shd remmber such stuffs
 
Man Siemens is damn expensive for the capacity i want i.e around 400litres and it is over 40k. I know it is good but really expensive and my dad aint gonna pay that much but otherwise hows Toshiba..White westinghouse IMHO will have warranty problems as they dont have a proper setup iN INDIA and it is difficult to find spare parts and mechanics for this company.

SO the only options I have in my budget are LG 430l/ Toshiba 400 or 370l and electorlux if it has any fridge in this range..plz help!!
