The world's first notebok with HD-DVD player has been updated, now using Intel's latest Intel Core 2 Duo or codename "Merom" CPU.
Toshiba's new G35-AV660 uses Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 clocked at 2.0GHz, up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM, and GeForce Go 7600 graphics with 256MB GDDR3 memory. It comes with a massive 17-inch UXGA widescreen with 1920x1200 resolution with TruBrite for enhnaced colors. For more storage, it has two 120GB 5400RPM hard drives for a total of 240GB.
Besides watching HD-DVD movies on this entertainment laptop, it has a built-in TV tuner to watch and record television programming and it has harmon/kardon bass reflex speakers with Dolby Digital audio for true surround sound experience.
Other features: Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, Wireless A/B/G, Card reader, Fingerprint reader, with HDMI connector to support 1080i. All of this weighing 10.1 pounds.
The Qosmio G35-AV660 will be available in two weeks for $3500.
