Laptops Toshiba Satellite A60- suggestion on selling price!

Toshiba Satellite A60 was bought by my friend in 2004nov and he wants to upgrade now as the battery pack has gone completely dead, please tell me how much can he expect for the same, find below the config:

1. 15" screen Toshiba brightview.
2. DVD combo Drive.
3. Celeron 2.8
4. 256 MB DDR Ram.
5. Wireless Lan, 3USB, 1 Firewire, IR.
6. Onynx Blue top cover.
7. WIN XP Home, License.

And also he wants to go in for a 12" laptop at the cheapest price, which one do you guys suggest, any special offer etc you know of in bangalore
 
He should expect around 12-15k for the lappy assuming the battery is dead! Also,the cheapest option under 12" would be the compaq presarios ! Dont remember the model number but you can check it out on hp-india's website!

Hey thanks for replying !! one more thing are you sure about the cheap lappy thing from compaq?
 
no way cheapest in all is from acer dont think that its cheap so its bad just only brand name so u can check acer compaq is not at all reliable now a days

Cheapest is all he wants now at 12"screen, he is getting a new one from the US and till then this will be a replacement !! so please suggest if you know a particular model or any offers going on in bangalore.

hey there

dunno abt b'lore in particular but i saw a laptop today while shopping at hypercity in malad, mumbai.. it is the compaq presario B1980 model costs abt rs 37k and has a 12inch screen.. its a dual core and not c2d laptop..

laos was looking at dell india website where they have introduced the vostro 1200 model with 12inch screen.. this is a core 2 duo laptop and i configured it upto an option of rs45k which is pretty good for the specs offered.. have alook athese 2 options..

acer's good vfm laptop but comes with 14inch screens...

Hey thanks a lot man, even I have tried saerching for info on the 12"incher but was difficult to find, yeah after pat posted about the compaq thing I did check the B1900 series laps will forward the same.

Even checked out the vostro 1200, a tad expensive, maybe he will go for the compaq as its cheaper.

What do you think about the resale of the satellite a60, is 12-15k good?
