Toshiba, Videocon

Saw a Videocon LED/LCD TV next to a Sony. It was quite good - definitely better than the premium that Sony charges.

Seen a couple of Toshiba HDTV 40"er's - pricing seem to be aggressive.

Any feedback on the two makes?

My friend got a Hitachi and was very satisfied. Just thinking of alternate VFMs to Sony/Samsungs.

well i myself bought Toshiba 32' 20PB with 3 year warrenty n usb support etc n very happy with it !! witing 2 hours they came and install it !!

i too have a 32" Toshiba Regza got it a year ago.. Definitely it was better than Sony and it still is when i recently compared and finally got a Samsung 32" one

I paid 20.5 k for that model from lajpat nagar ,new delhi

bought 1 month before and very happy with it

Is Toshiba being marketed by Videocon in India?

My friend bought a Toshiba 26 inch. He found a vertical line in the middle of the panel. The technician on visit took photographs and said that the Tv would be replaced. But it took more than a month and shouting at their manager. But the new TV also developed the line within 2 days. Same process had to be followed. Thankfully the 2nd replacement is working fine.

But it was impossible to get the company contact details from the website if you want to catch hold of someone. The manager is too busy to pick the phone.
