PC Peripherals TP-Link W8968 gone DEAD after flashing OpenWRT!

I have 2013 TP-Link W8968 with me. I wanted to use it as a WiFi repeater for a Public wifi installed in our residential complex but I read on online forums that since this particular model comes with Broadcom Wifi Chipset, it doesn't support Wifi Repeater function. But, I anyways for the heck of it flashed openWRT on this modem and it has gone dead since then. Is there anyway to revive it again or is it a dead wieght now?

You need to opt for the brcm63xx CFE recovery method. You may need to hex-edit the official TP-Link firmware package, though.
