Chetansha Sir, Please suggest Best one of "DD-Wrt or OpenWrt". Goggling a lot for Guide to install and reverting back to stock. So far no success to find a got Guide.
I am think this piece of hardware is quite sufficient for Wifi IP Cam Streaming, NAS, Downloading [I prefer pyload], DLNA, VPN for SOHO usage

Who has purchased this ?it seems there is some issue with 5ghz range wit stock firmware.
Will ask my friend which one he is using

AFAIK, there are issues with dualband in DD-WRT only. But seeing that is what I will be using, I gave this model a skip. Will be purchasing another ASUS subject to availability and budget.[DOUBLEPOST=1377361214][/DOUBLEPOST]@Mods/OP, Please mark thread as OOS/Expired.

I am using WDR3600 for past one week with stock;
Below with respect to Asus RT-N13U B1;
1. Almost 2x read/write speed with Wired/Wifi NAS;
2. Unable find tech-details about "Why Browsing speed is Excellent" with this ? Is it HARDWARE NAT ?
3. 2 USB Ports- 1 for HDD and Other for 3G Modem/Printer, Dual Band- Old @2.4ghz and New @5ghz, 4 Giga Ports - very useful for Power users.

Unable to make out OpenWrt or DD-Wrt ?
Waiting for Vivek and dinjo response.

well let me correct you there a bit. it doesnt support 3g modem on the usb port neither in stock nor in dd-wrt firmware. having said that, let me share what i think having bought this router just to try (i am happy content with my asus rt n16 coz i have a wired network mostly)

the router is rock stable and amazing with just stock. breeze to setup and the throughput speeds are pretty darn good. in a review comparing the superior wdr4300 and this wdr3600, the former only marginally improves the 5ghz data read write speed when considered in the 20 ft distance. which is to say that wdr3600 at 60% of the cost of the wdr4300 performs much better in almost every which way. I have also run dd-wrt with it and lemme put all claims at rest about 5ghz wifi being queasy. it works super no problems there at all. so those looking at a dd-wrt port can breathe easy like me.

now the rider 5ghz band of wifi comes with is that its range drastically decreases with our bricks walls. the 2.4ghz works similar to its previous best seen in tp links stalwart 1043nd (which to some is a rip off of asus rt n16). to simplify we tested a 40gb blu ray iso over the 5ghz wifi with one wall in between using a stock tata sky wifi dongle attached to a xbmc box and needless to say it worked like a charm. so how i see it is that this is an excellent router if one is looking for a good standard 2.4ghz wifi performance around the house and a 5ghz wifi pipe for clearly streaming hd content from home servers or network storages to their media centres / htpcs / tabs / or what you will.

DD-Wrt supports 3G Modem ? then why not WDR3600 will not support ?

Sir, How you tried to revert back from DD-Wrt to Stock ?
Also required link of DD-WRT version for install and
link to revert to stock.

I am quit happy with WDR3600, Only One feature i am looking "Downloading at Free Time."

You have the link already for reverting to stock. 3g modem support not built in to this ddwrt release for this router chipset. install ddwrt then optware and load up transmission. Set a download schedule and you realize all wishes do come true
