I use the Logitech ERGO M575 mouse for my work. I bought it back in 2021. Off late, it has been behaving erratically. As in, it is not the cursor of mouse that is the problem, but the rolling ball itself is an issue. 90% of the times when I am rolling the ball (using my thumb) from right to left, the ball rolls very smoothly which is NOT desired. There is almost no friction and due to this, the cursor moves super slowly.
This does not happen if I am moving the ball in any other direction. Randomly it will work with friction (for right to left roll) but most times, it won't.
I have removed the ball and cleaned the 3 connecting points as well and sometimes it will work well for few minutes but then back to same erratic behavior.
Is there anything more I can do to try and fix it? I do have a backup (sealed pack) same mouse that I keep as I cannot do without a trackball mouse. But I would not want to use it if I can make current one work.
