Tracking network/internet usage

Hi,
We are using Hathway's always-on internet connection and have a cable modem + SMC router through which we provide internet access to around 15 odd PCs. Since we are not using any software based proxy, we dont know how to track the internet usage of each user and the sites that they visit (basically preventing usage abuse)

Are there any software available which will help me track this. Even IP against sites and time spent on the net would be enough for me.

Well the problem lies in the fact that you are using a hardware router. Two options:

1. Install software, scripts on your router. I don't think you can do that with most el cheapo routers.

2. Install software on each client computer. There are lots of bandwidth monitoring solutions for desktops. Netlimiter, for one, but that isn't free.
