Trackmania help needed!!!

I downloaded the setup file from the official site and installed it.

But the problem is whne I play in offline mode(the "training mode" ), and I crash and I need to press ENTER to reset, my comp hangs.

I cant do a damn thing abt it.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game....the problem still persists.

What the heck do I do now???
 
Well, this was when no one was on the server at 5 in the morning..... was up studying the whole damn night and I needed a break :P

SOmeone help me!!!

i think its highly CPU dependant i mean the game... the same thing happens to me as well when i crash.. u have to press enter to restart but on pressing enter its smooth for me ( it doesnt hang completely)...only when i try to restart( esc then restart) it hangs quite a bit...try playing music in the background it will stutter...music stutters for me when i restart..i haven figured out the root of the problem myself..but since it doesnt hang completely for me i dont really mind..other than that gameplay is very smooth ...60 fps with my 9600 pro :D
 
i also played this game. on my 5200 FX it sucked bad it gave me 15-20 fps
but i was stilll very good in this game :P
 
I am playing at 1024 x 768 with no AA and I guess the default AF settings.

AMD 64 3200+, 6800GT, 1 GB RAM
 
i play on 800*600
on cel 2.4 D , 256 RAM it still runs fine
now i am not a specialist in finiding the reasons for games not running on the PC but you should try to run on the default setting it might work
 
hey.

i had the same problem awhile ago. whenever i would reset the sound would keep looping and my whole comp would crash. this is what i did to make it work.

uninstall the game.

install the game in the drive where you installed windows.

run the game IN A WINDOW at whatever settings you like (so that if it crashes you dont need to restart). i found out that sound isnt the reason for the crashing, its something else, as the game crashes even with sound disabled so dont reduce sound quality put whatever settings you like.

try racing now,make sure you have 1.8 gb of page file. whatever you do DO NOT quit the game by pressing alt+f4 or press ctrl + escape or something while racing and everything should be fine.
 
right click on "my computer"
properties
advanced
under performance "settings"
advanced
under virtual memory "change"
there make the custom size 1896 - 3792 or something and apply
 
thanks dude!!!! It worked!!! I just installed the game on my Windows drive and ran it in WINDOW mode instead of full screen mode.... been playing for the past half an hour :D

I dont think I will change the page file setting now.

but my fx5200 runs it at 1024X768 at 45+ FPS :bleh:

though have to run it in dx 8.1 mode .:rofl:
 
now switch over to fullscreen and play. it wont crash (as long as you dont have some other huge process running on your machine other than your anti virus).
 
Err I was having the same issue too. Trackmania crashed twice once taking the comp down with it. I thought it was overclock related so i tried running it at stock and it sort of seemed to work. (didn't play for too long). Didn't know the game itself was that buggy :P. Nikhil did it install starforce drivers on ur comp?

i was talking bout playing online and getting 15-20 fps.
and if you still get better fps playing online then great for you man
but now i am not going to play this again thats for sure
