HAS ANY ONE TRIED TO OVER CLOCK THIS CHEAP RAM ??:hap2:
I HAVE SEEN FEW THREADS IN OTHER SITES THEY OVERCLOCKED THIS RAM TO 1000Mhz!! IS it possible? cuz this thing does not come with heat sink like the axe ram did ..:@

rams are p series or just normal ???if it is normal then Not good for Overclocking...

I have taken them upto 1050 Mhz on 2.1v but not recommended for long-term :) If you ask proof you won't get it coz i did this on my 680i and i didn't take any screenshot's since i wasn't in benching then....

Edit: Don't blame me if the chip blows.....;)

I also have this RAM and want to over clock it. I raised it to 860Mhz for some mins. but lowered the fsb because of fear of blowing.:D

Ram blows away due to over-voltage for extensive period of time :) Mine is still working after such a torture :D But can't predict on anybody i had done this when ddr2 was dirt cheap ;) but now the cost is high :P i will suggest just try it if it blows just Rma it ;)

Edit: There is no problem with my memory but now it requires 1.9v for getting stable at stock figures i had given it 2.1v :)

See my siggy...This is the same RAM i had and it overclocks like hell.

I had sufficient cooling inside my cabby and this RAM was used at this overclocked setting only during gaming sessions and not 24x7.

So, if you are planning to overclock this, ensure proper cooling and use it only during gaming. Also, remember that every chip is not the same. Ur RAM might not overclock as much as others or may be better ;)
 
yes please mention the volts & over clocked benchmarks if possible.. Information will be valuable..

What great difference can you observe after over clocking???
 
Overclocking ddr2 ram above 900mhz doesn't yield much difference in real world apps just 1-2ms here and there :) We as overclockers need to oc ram because intel requires Ram fsb to be linked :) You are using a q6600 i will suggest as you can get your system stable at 3.6ghz without overclocking your ram to not overclock it if it's unnecessary :)
