wheres it? in windows-> accessories?agantuk said:Did you check the disk from the Disk Manager to see if there it shows the unformatted partition?
thers a free space of 208 gb shown in green color.. wht to do now?agantuk said:Since you are using Windows 7, just type 'partitions' at the search box under the menu. The first option should be 'Create and format hard disk partitions'
i am getting two options " New simple Volume " and " Delete partition"agantuk said:You can format and allocate it so that the OS can start using it. Just right click on the free space, and you should get a menu
logistopath said:Create a New Simple Volume, choose the partitions format (NTFS or FAT32), use the entire remaining partition space and assign it a partition letter, and complete the process. Done. Your OS will identify this new space as a separate partition.
P.S: You can also limit the size of this volume to 100GB or so, and complete the process. The remaining space will show as free space, and you can repeat the process to create another new partition.
cant to extend/expand , tht option is darkened..Punker said:First delete the new partition you made then right click on old partition and select extend/expand partition.... it will automatically add new partition....you are done....
logistopath said:^^ Try doing it in 2 separate steps. First delete the partition you have just created. It will ask for confirmation. Confirm and finish the process. Exit and again open disk management tool, and try to expand the partition. If this also doesn't work, then it's time to rely on some third party software.
