I am trying to transfer video from Sony digital camcorder to my PC using Nero 7. I am using a USB cable to connect.
As I am about to click on record, I get a message pop up saying that "the following devices are using up a significant amount of USB bandwidth and will probably interfere with the capturing process" It identifies the device as "USB Composite Device Sony Digital USB" (the camcorder). It asks to remove the device from the system or plug into another USB port.
If I ignore the warning and go on to record, the recording on the nero application strts fragmenting and eventually freezes up although the camcorder is playing.
I am not sure where to start. Is the computer underpowered? It's 800mhz with 736MB RAM. Is it the USB cable? Is it Nero?
Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm ready to jump out the window.
