is treadmill really good? does it really help to loose weight and to build good health what are your opinions on treadmill. im looking out for a treadmill for my family (for everyone) mom, dad, siblings.if yes what brands should i look out for ?
budget is 25k the cheaper the better lolz. suggest a good one!

waste of money

get good shoes and find a park or something along with a mp3 player

running on hard surfaces like roads/concrete for long periods(weeks/months) will screw your legs

No ways guys ! Treadmill is definitely very good as it tones your body overall (not just one particular area). And yes,if you are consistent and do it daily, then there is no reason why you wouldnt lose weight! Good Motorized treadmills are available for around 20/25k at Proline Fitness in Mumbai!

^ they are bit expensive na! which model suits up for my family?

Yup..motorized treadmills are always more expensive than manual ones..I am afraid I am not too sure about models and all..You will have to find it out yourself with probably some help from guys at Proline! Good Luck!

very true ...:hap2: ...

nothin beats joggin in the park , invest that 25k elsewhere , its good money u can get a lot of goodies in it ;)

and nothin like the sight of chics joggin , i thrid that :p

Get a stationery bike instead. Cycling burns way more calories than running, plus running on a treadmill, especially for extended periods of time, is very bad for your knees. For 25k you will get a treadmill of poor quality, IMO. Even halfway decent ones cost way more than that. Honestly, the *best* way to lose weight and tone up is to join a gym and do a combination of weights, cardio and stretches. If that sounds like too much and you're intent on getting something that you can do in the comfort of your home, I'd recommend an elliptical cross trainer or a stationery bike. Since the cross trainer would be way outta your budget, the bike is a much better bet than a treadmill.

Have a treadmill at home....lol have to check what make it is...costs abt 20k...some come cheaper...

Bought it coz mom is an acute diabetic and sometimes cant go out...she starts and stops at her convinience at home with the treadmill...

But seriously for me nothing beats a natural walk in the park....but yes walk briskly...with the treadmill u can be forced to walk very briskly....

Hi guys,

Can you suggest me a good treadmill. My budget is 40K but can stretch to 60K if required. This will be mainly used by my parents n myself. Im 6feet and 95kgs and i looing to shed atleat 10 kilos thru proper diet and running. So I require a continuous 2 HP model. Space is not a constraint so wud prefer a non folding one. Im from Hyderabad and apart from homedirectfitnes and proline i have no idea as where to look for other brands. So request for hyd guys for some advice reg the stores.

definitely its good unless u dont hit it regularly..:)

open ground running is better...which doesnt mean tht treadmill is not good....and its myth tht walking/running on hard surfaces etc etc not good for legs, its just myth.
