Its a tough one... Real tough one.... Doom is right up there with few others.... But if it was for the day, i will play Quake...

er i like UT better coz i suck at quake :P ..but super game nevertheless ...changed a lot of things in the gaming industry :) destroyed creativity  for one and created somethin called quakecon ..

Quake was the game, which lured me into PC gaming. Yes, I am talking about Quake Original. When I tried my hands on Quake 2, I had already marked it the greatest game of all time. The graphics and specially the music totally blown my mind off. It is because of PC gaming, I got intrested into Computer Technology and it has helped me where I stand today (Writer @ Techtree). Hence I decided to write this article as a Tribute to the franchise. Quake will always have a special place in my heart.

Thank you IceFusion. In case, some of you didnt knew, my nick has been borrowed from a Doom II expansion pack called TNT-Evilution.

I played Quake 2 first, then Quake. Carmack for graphics and Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) for sound makes for an ultimate combination. Needless to say, I was spellbound by the quality of gaming in the quake series. I love Quake it all its iterations!

^^We're talking about a franchise here, not just individual games. Half-life I can understand, but Far Cry harks back to no golden series of games like Quake does.
